Paragon 28 Launches Gorilla® Central Column Plating System for Midfoot Reconstruction, Charcot, and Trauma Procedures
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Paragon 28, Inc. (NYSE: FNA), a leading medical device company exclusively focused on the foot and ankle orthopedic market, announced today the launch of its Gorilla® Central Column Plating System, offering plates and instrumentation which may be used in isolation for acute or chronic midfoot application or in cases of Charcot.
The system consists of 16 plates which are optimized to fit the bony anatomy of the midfoot and address conditions of TN and/or NC joint. The system provides 1.5- and 2.0 mm thick (Charcot) plates in talus to metatarsal and navicular to metatarsal spanning options. Surgeons may compress the plates using the Caspar which is available in the Gorilla® instrument tray or use the plates to span the fracture site. A novel Rasp is included to aid in preparation of the joint surfaces. The addition of the Gorilla® Central Column Plating System increases the number of plating options within the Gorilla® Plating System to 309 plates making it the most robust reconstruction and trauma foot and ankle offering on the market.
