Paragon 28® received a design patent for the metatarsophalangeal (MTP) length restoration disc issued on October 15th, 2015. This allograft disc is a component of the PRESERVE™ Bone Graft System primarily for use in 1st MTP arthrodesis procedures. Harvested and cut from dense cancellous femoral bone, this graft provides exceptional vascularity while lengthening the 1st metatarsal.
Paragon 28®’s vast line of MTP discs includes 5 differing lengths in 2 diameters. Cup and cone reamers and trial handles allow for adjustment of the hallux after placement of the graft. Paragon 28® does not use gamma irradiation or hydrogen peroxide in the aseptic processing of allograft. This helps to maintain the structural and osteoinductive integrity of the graft.
