Total Ankle Replacement (TAR)APEX 3D S™ Stemmed Tibia

Complex_TAR_ArcImplants

APEX 3D S™ Stemmed Tibia

With the tibia prepared with a novel Right-Angle Drill, implant insertion does not require manipulating the subtalar joint or the tibia cortex
The 12 mm APEX 3D S Stem has 3 mm of lattice at the distal base designed to offer stability at time of implantation with the proximal 9 mm of the stem being smooth designed to reduce stress shielding
Offers intra-operative flexibility offering surgeons to determine the best implant for their patient based on bone quality and the presence of hindfoot fusion

APEX 3D S™ Stemmed Tibia

Designed to Address Inherent Challenges Associated with Total Ankle Joint Replacement
Three Anatomically Contoured Implant Components Designed to Help Reduce Persistent Pain and Restore Natural Motion
Based on Over a Century of Combined Clinical Experience
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The APEX 3D S™ Stemmed Tibia is a complimentary implant to the APEX 3D™ Total Ankle Replacement System. Offering surgeons intra-operative flexibility, the APEX 3D S™ expands the continuum of care for patients with ankle arthritis plus other characteristics such as diabetes, high BMI, prior hindfoot fusion, etc., with features which have been proven to reduce post-surgery complications¹:

✓ Vertical Fixation

✓ Enhanced Stability

✓ Minimally Disruptive Insertion

The APEX 3D S™ Stemmed Tibia instrumentation includes the Right-Angle Drill which offers precision instrumentation for prepping the tibia prior to implantation. A Linear Guide attaches to the Tibia Trial guiding the Right-Angle Drill vertically into the tibia with fluoro markers indicating that the appropriate depth as been established. Additionally, the drill can be used on both hard and soft bone.
