Quite possibly the most versatile plate in the Gorilla® Universal Plating System, the Dogbone Plate comes in 10 mm, 15 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm and 30 mm lengths with an optional compression slot beginning with the 20 mm length. Coupled with the option to use 3 different diameter screws (2.7 mm, 3.5 mm and 4.2 mm) in locking and non-locking, surgeon partners have the ability to choose based on patient-specific needs. Traditional uses for the Universal Dogbone Plate include isolated midfoot fusions, 1st tarsometatarsal joint fusions and talonavicular joint fusions. Additionally, with the 5 length options, this plate has the versatility to provide fixation across a calcaneocuboid joint arthrodesis, with or without the use of the PRESERVE™ Calc-Cuboid Arthrodesis Length Restoring Graft. The three larger options provide a compression slot that can allow use of a compression screw or leave room for a screw to be placed across the arthrodesis site at an angle.
