Monkey Rings™ External Fixation System

The Monkey Rings Circular External Fixation System was designed to use wires and half pins that can be fixed into bone to hold in the correct position while providing stability, soft tissue preservation, adjustability, and functionality. The Monkey Rings External Fixation System can be used in a variety of applications including but not limited to stabilization of charcot foot deformity correction, ankle arthrodesis revision, open fracture fixation, limb lengthening and bone transport. The Monkey Rings Circular fixation system allows for easy wire and half pin placement and attachment as well as rapid modifications to streamline steps in surgery making the fixator simple to apply for the surgeon and staff.

The System features Foot Plate and Ring Size interchangeability allowing for a Foot Plate to be used with Rings that are same size, two sizes bigger or one size smaller. In Addition, the tabbed ring system allows for sizing up and down of rings. These features allow for application of the fixator without the need for costly adjustable multi plane struts in many instances creating simple streamlined constructs that can be axially loaded. The system also allows application in multiple planes with locking universal joints, when multiplanar correction is necessary. The instrumentation provided is streamlined and organized in a manner to maintain OR efficiency and simplicity.
