Paragon 28 Continues to Aggressively Expand its Soft Tissue Portfolio with the launch of the Grappler™ Suture Anchor System
ENGLEWOOD, Colo., May 02, 2022 — Paragon 28, Inc. (NYSE: FNA) (“PARAGON”), is pleased to announce the launch of its Grappler™ Suture Anchor System designed to address the challenges that are present when performing soft tissue tensioning and ligament reconstruction in acute procedures of the foot and ankle.
Paragon 28 designed its acute Grappler™ PEEK and titanium anchors for efficiency in the OR. The PEEK anchors are offered in a single kit inclusive of all instrumentation needed to complete the repair. The anchors are available in 4.5 and 5.5 sizes and are preloaded with suture and needles. Similarly, the titanium anchors are kitted, and loaded with sutures and needles. These anchors are available in 3.0- and 4.5-mm sizes and are designed to be inserted without the need for drilling. The kits are designed for simplicity requiring one kit for one repair eliminating waste and interoperative confusion.
Unlike many competitive offerings which are borrowed from indications in the hip and upper extremity, the Grappler™ Suture Anchor System is was engineered to the demands of the foot and ankle. Instrumentation and implant features including suture length, driver shaft length, needle type, and ergonomics were optimized to address these acute repairs.
Paragon 28 Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder Albert DaCosta commented, “We are excited to launch the Grappler™ Soft Tissue Anchors, expanding our soft-tissue portfolio,” said Paragon 28’s CEO, Albert DaCosta. “We will continue to develop and bring to market additional innovative solutions that address the complex surgical needs of soft tissue repair.”
The addition of the Grappler™ Suture Anchor System Stabilization System bolsters Paragon 28’s soft tissue product offering, which includes the Paratrooper™ Plantar Plate System, TenoTac™ Soft Tissue Fixation System, Grappler™ Interference Screw System, and R3LEASE™ Stabilization System. With this comprehensive portfolio, Paragon 28 provides its customers a broad array of innovative solutions for soft tissue stabilization and repair.
